Women’s PGA Championship 2019 at Hazeltine National Betting Preview

June 18, 2019 by Ryan Knuppel

Women’s PGA Championship144 golfers are set to tee it up at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota for the 2019 Women’s PGA Championship. This is a par-72 course that is 6,741 yards and should provide a tough challenge for the entire field this week.

Groups will tee off on Thursday afternoon on holes 1 and 10, with them switching it up again for round two on Friday. There doesn’t seem to be a clear-cut favourite heading into this event, and that should make for an exciting four days of golf at a beautiful setting.

Let’s take a look at the three favourites as well as a longshot who could contend this week before making a pick to win the event.

The Odds

It’s important to take a closer look at the odds leading up to the golf event and try to figure out the best golfers to bet on. There are three golfers who share the best odds, and we have highlighted a potential longshot to consider.

The Favourites

Brooke Henderson

Brooke HendersonBrooke Henderson is one of those golfers who seems to step up her game when she is teeing it up on the biggest stage.

Henderson has not finished outside of the top-10 in her last four appearances at the Women’s PGA Championship, and should be a contender again this weekend.

The Canadian will be looking to win her second career Major championship and she has the game to get the job done.

Odds to win: +1100

Jeong-Eun Lee6

Jeongeun Lee6Jeong-Eun Lee6 is a rookie on the LPGA Tour this season, but she hasn’t looked like it. Lee6 was the winner at the 2019 US Women’s Open, and will be looking for her second career major already.

This is just her second appearance at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, but there likely won’t be any nerves when she tees it up.

The Korean golfer will be one to keep an eye on all weekend long, and could very well wind up on top.

Odds to win: +1100

Lexi Thompson

Lexi ThompsonIt feels like Lexi Thompson has been a part of the LPGA Tour for a few decades even though she is still just 24 years old.

Thompson qualified for the US Women’s Open at age 12, and continues to play terrific golf. She has been sort of forgotten in recent years, but played well last weekend in finishing T-2nd.

Don’t be surprised to see her contending all weekend long in Minnesota.

Odds to win: +1100

Dark Horse

Sung Hyun Park

Sung Hyun Park isn’t one of the favourites to win this event, but perhaps she should be. Park is the reigning champion at the Women’s PGA Championship, and is always capable of lapping the field anytime she enters an event.

Park also has a US Women’s Open Championship on her resume, and continues to play great golf despite having plenty of doubters. The Korean golfer is the top longshot to keep an eye on this week at Hazeltine.

Odds to win: +2800

Our Pick

There are plenty of good options to bet on from Thursday with GTBets, but Lexi Thompson is our pick. Even though the odds aren’t very favourable, she should still be the golfer that you bet on to win the 2019 Women’s PGA Championship. She has quietly been building up a ton of momentum, and she will cap it off with a victory this weekend.
