The stage is set and Super Bowl LIV will kick off on Sunday, February 2. The Kansas City Chiefs will represent the American Football Conference, and the San Francisco 49ers will represent the National Football Conference. Kansas City was one of our picks at the beginning of the season and were the number two seed in the AFC during the regular season, and San Francisco was the top overall seed in the NFC.
Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida will be the host of Super Bowl LIV. The weather is expected to be warm, and it likely won’t play a role in this game. This game will feature an explosive offense in Kansas City, matching up with a great defense in San Francisco.
Of course before the action kicks off we have the small matter of the NFL Pro Bowl, this weekend to wet our appetite before the main showdown.
The Kansas City Chiefs are listed as -1.5 point favourites over the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl LIV Team Analysis
Let’s take a closer look at the two teams who will contend the 54th Super Bowl Title.
* Odds have been provided by BetOnline and are accurate as of 24/01/2020
San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers have been absolutely dominant so far during their postseason run, and their defense has been terrific. The 49ers blew out the Minnesota Vikings in the Divisional Round, and then had an explosive first half against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game.
San Francisco has a relentless defense that should give Patrick Mahomes some trouble in this game. The 49ers racked up 49 sacks during the regular season, and they have completely shut down passing games for the Packers and Vikings. San Francisco can also stop the run, but they do their damage by getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has barely thrown for 200 yards so far in the postseason, but it hasn’t mattered at all. The 49ers are going to run the ball a ton against the Chiefs, and that has been their game plan all year long. Running back Rahim Mostert had four rushing touchdowns in the NFC Championship Game, but the 49ers have plenty of other offensive weapons.
Current Odds: +105
Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City fell behind by a score of 24-0 in their first postseason game, but still beat the Houston Texans by a score of 51-31. The Chiefs were more dominant in the AFC Championship Game, easily dispatching the Tennessee Titans.
The Kansas City Chiefs have one of the most feared offenses in the National Football League, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes missed some time during the regular season, but he is back and playing his best football of his career. The young quarterback threw five touchdown passes in the Divisional Round win over Houston, and then used his legs to defeat the Tennessee Titans.
One of the biggest reasons that Patrick Mahomes has been so great is the ridiculous amount of weapons he has at his disposal. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill and tight end Travis Kelce are both among the best at their position, and they can make game changing plays on every down.
Kansas City has really struggled on the defensive side of the ball in recent years, but that hasn’t been the case in 2019. The addition of cornerback Tyrann Mathieu gives the Chiefs a terrific secondary, and they can also get some pressure on the ball. The Chiefs will need to defend to win this game.
Current Odds: -125
Our Prediction
This should be one of the best Super Bowl games in recent years, and these two teams couldn’t be any different. The San Francisco 49ers have a dominant defense that has been solid all year, and the Kansas City Chiefs can score points in a hurry. Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the best player in this game, and that is the best reason to take the Kansas City Chiefs.
Bet on the Kansas City Chiefs -1.5 over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV.
