Tom BradyThere have been a lot of rumours floating around concerning NFL Star Tom Brady. The 40 year old New England Patriots quarterback decided to skip the offseason optional training due to prior commitments.

This gave further ammunition to the rumours that Brady and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick could no longer see eye to eye. The two apparently started to fall out during the 2017 NFL season and things kept going downhill from there.

There are many NFL analysts who believe that Brady could be into the final year of his career. Given the fact that his relationship with Belichick has soured, some believe that he will finish his final season with the Patriots this year and then ride off into the sunset as one of the most decorated NFL players in the history of the game.

However, Brady has announced that he has no plans to retire anytime soon. The NFL star confirmed that he wants to play into his mid-40s and believes that he has a great work regiment in place that enables him to get his body and mind in the shape he requires to consistently perform at the highest level.

In a statement, Brady said

I have personal goals. I want to keep playing. I was told three years, when I was 36-37, ‘You can’t keep playing; no one wins Super Bowls at 36. It’s a great challenge for me. I think I’ve been challenged my whole life. I feel like I can do it.

He also said that given the fact that he played football almost throughout the year, he wanted to devote as much time as he could towards his family.

However, Brady did not confirm or deny the rumours regarding his fall out with Belichick. When asked if he still felt appreciated at the Patriots, he joked around and pleaded the Fifth. Brady said the Patriots are treating him in a manner in which they believe will bring out the best in him and he will take it in his stride and continue to give his best.
