Ethereum Classic Rises 14% On Inclusion In Verified Digital Assets List

Updated On Feb 13, 2018 by Cameron Bishop

Cryptonaire, a team dedicated for crypto currency research, has announced that it has included Ethereum Classic (ETC) in its list of Verified Digital Assets (VDA). Following the news, Ethereum Classic (ETC) gained 14% to trade at $28.20. Ethereum Classic is an open-source, public, blockchain-based distributed computing platform featuring smart contract (scripting) functionality. The native token of the Ethereum Classic platform is called “Classic Ether.”

Since 2010, Cryptonaire had been providing detailed research and forecast reports on crypto currencies. The firm is solely focused on crypto currencies, unlike other investment research firms. With transparency, safe investments, and integrity as the core principles, the firm is working towards mass adoption of crypto currencies by consumers and investors. Even though, the firm maintains healthy relationship with crypto currency developers and exchanges, still, it does not have any kind of affiliation. That is mainly intended to remain neutral and provide a balanced research report on crypto currencies. Before listing a crypto currency, it conducts a detailed verification process. Ethereum Classic (ETC) is the latest token to join the list of Verified Digital Assets (VDA). Cryptonaire announced the decision through a tweet.

List of Verified Digital Assets

• Litecoin (LTC)
• Ethereum (ETH)
• Monero (XMR)

• ZCash (ZEC)
• NEO (NEO)

• ETC (Ethereum Classic)

Origin of Ethereum Classic:

The Ethereum platform can be categorized as “Ethereum Classic” (ETC) and “Ethereum” (ETH). Prior to the fork, the token was called Ethereum. After the fork, the new block chain network kept the name Ethereum (ETH), and the old network was renamed Ethereum Classic (ETC). Ethereum Classic was created due to a disagreement with the Ethereum Foundation regarding The DAO Hard Fork. Users that owned ETH before the DAO hard fork (at block 1920000) were given an equal amount of ETC after the fork.

The Ethereum Classic (ETC) community is celebrating the inclusion of the token in the VDA list.
