Cain Arrested For Shooting A Man

A man was shot on Monday night and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The authorities investigated the shooting and ended up arresting Cain Velasquez and charged him as the shooter. He was taken to the Santa Clara County jail and has a court date set for 03 March with no bail as an option.

The shooting is reported to have taken place in San Jose close to a local high school at 3 pm. The authorities are still trying to determine the motive behind the shooting and get more information regarding this incident. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Cain shot a 43 year old man who is alleged to have abused a child that is related to him.

Cain No Longer Competes In The UFC

MMA fans have high regard for Cain Velasquez as he is widely regarded as one of the best heavyweight champs in the history of the UFC, beating top names such as Junior Dos Santos and Brock Lesnar. Cain last fought in the UFC in 2019 when he faced current champ Francis Ngannou and ended up losing by TKO.

Cain removed himself from MMA and turned his attention to the Mexican version of WWE and was quite popular on the local circuit. The former UFC heavyweight champion has preferred to stay out of the limelight and from the outside looks like he leads a quiet life with his wife and kids.

Cain’s fans on social media have stood by him as some of the MMA community have looked to throw him under the bus and even compare him to former UFC lightheavyweight champ Jon Jones who has a history of getting into trouble with the law. Cain’s fans have asked the MMA world to be patient and not be quick in judging him without knowing his side of the story.

When former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen was arrested in Dec 2021 for brawling, MMA fans piled on him until details emerged that he was defending his wife’s honour. We will bring you more updates on this story as details emerge.
