Los Angeles turned into one giant block party on Monday as thousands of Dodgers fans filled the streets downtown to celebrate another World Series title.

It’s the second year in a row when the city shuts down to honor its champions, with the team parading through a sea of blue on double-decker buses, holding the trophy and waving to fans who camped out for hours just to catch a glimpse.

Blue Foo: “We Were the Better Team.”

For many, it wasn’t just another celebration, but something personal that made them stake out a front-row spot at 4 a.m., determined not to miss the moment.

The parade drew every kind of fan, including local legend “Blue Foo”, known for his elaborate Dodger outfits. This year, he showed up in a custom World Series jacket covered in patches from the team’s past championships.

Still glowing from Saturday’s Game 7 win, he said

That was tough. We respect the Blue Jays. We were the better team. We were the better team. That was a good series.

The final game had all the drama a fan could hope for, and then some. Down to their last two outs, the Dodgers tied it up in the ninth with a Miguel Rojas solo shot, then took the lead in the 11th on Will Smith’s home run.

Pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto sealed the deal with a game-ending double play, earning his third win of the series.

After weeks of tension across the city from unrelated news events, the championship felt like a welcome relief, a day where everything was about joy, unity, and baseball.

Blue Foo said.

It’s everything, celebration, family, unity, you know, championships. I mean, what else can you ask for?

Over 50,000 Fans at Dodger Stadium

The parade ended at Dodger Stadium, where more than 52,000 fans packed the stands. Manager Dave Roberts fired up the crowd, saying, “What’s better than two? Three! Three-peat!

Shohei Ohtani followed with a rare English message to fans: “You guys are the greatest fans in the world. I’m ready to get another ring next year.

Veteran Kiké Hernández summed it up best:

Everybody has been asking questions about a dynasty. How about three in six years? How about a back-to-back? Yes! We’re a mother-effing dynasty, baby!
