Joe Rogan Hits Out At UFC For Giving McGregor ‘Special Treatment’

Updated On Apr 19, 2018 by Landon Wheeler

Joe RoganUFC mega-star Conor McGregor disgraced himself and the promotion earlier this month when he along with 25 Irish goons stormed the Barclays Center and attacked a bus in which a number of fighters were present. The attack was termed as ‘disgusting’ UFC President Dana White and ended with McGregor being arrested.

McGregor’s actions resulted in the cancellation of three fights at UFC223 as fighters Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg were seriously injured.

President Dana White refused to answer questions on whether the UFC would cut ties with McGregor and said on April 7 that he would go back to Las Vegas and figure things out with regards to McGregor’s future.

Close to two weeks have passed since the McGregor incident and the UFC has been rather quiet about taking action against their biggest star. The UFC’s decision to not take any action against McGregor and keep silent for two weeks has upset a number of UFC stars and fight fans who believe that the UFC is giving Conor McGregor special treatment.

Joe Rogan Upset With UFC For Being Silent

UFC colour commentator and veteran Joe Rogan recently lashed out at the UFC on his popular podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ and said that McGregor will most likely have to pay out a lot of money to settle lawsuits against him. Rogan said that it would be the wise thing for McGregor to do as if he decided to challenge the lawsuits in a court of law and lost, it could be dangerous for the Irish superstar as it could result in a felony and prevent him from ever entering the United States again.

Rogan also addressed the issue of the UFC giving Conor McGregor special treatment and said it sent a wrong message to the rest of the UFC fighters and the fans. Conor McGregor is yet to issue a public apology and given the fact that two weeks have passed, it is highly unlikely that the Notorious one will offer one.

Rogan said on his podcast

Imagine if Ray Borg threw that dolly and Conor was inside. He’d be gone, his career would be over. That’s one of the more fucked up things about this is that you know Conor is getting special treatment. He is, and that’s not good for anybody.
