The popular TribalNet Conference & Tradeshow, the “annual gathering of the TribalHug Community” which allows participants to “network with industry leaders and explore the latest in tribal technology and business”, is making a much-anticipated Reno, Nevada comeback this fall.
The event, scheduled for September 14–18, aims to shine a spotlight on how technology is reshaping tribal casinos, governments, and enterprises across Indian Country.
Roughly 40 Sessions Announced
This year marks the 26th edition, and it will pack a busy agenda aimed at helping tribes harness innovation to improve operations, security, and customer experience.
Conference attendees will discover close to 40 different sessions to choose from, divided into seven educational tracks including general technology, gaming, hospitality, tribal government IT, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, leadership/executive insights, and tribal health information management.
The program draws IT professionals, casino and hospitality executives, healthcare teams, and industry vendors from across the country for a week of learning and connection.
Mike Day, executive director of TribalHub, the conference organizer.
Attendees learn alongside their peers, leading experts, and vendors and learn about solutions and technologies that other tribes are using, which could transform the way their tribes operate. One connection or solution at TribalNet could quickly save a tribe thousands.
Growing By the Year
The TribalNet Conference & Tradeshow will spread across two days and feature 250 technology vendors already working with tribal enterprises, with more than 700 attendees and an expected 1,500 participants overall, another growth milestone for the conference.
We keep growing. It’s a 20% increase from 2023 to 2024, and we’re expecting another increase this year
Artificial intelligence and cybersecurity will once again take center stage in many sessions, as both remain pressing topics for tribal operations.
“AI and cybersecurity are still big deals”, Day said, emphasizing the way technology can improve efficiency, customers’ experiences, and revenue generation.
There’s no way around it. It’s part of everything we’re doing. Of course, TribalNet is all about technology. It’s the one place that brings it all together.
Leadership-focused sessions will help general managers and executives develop the tech know-how they need to lead effectively.
The best leaders today have to have some technology savvy or at least an education on what’s happening
On the gaming side, industry leaders from companies like Aristocrat, IGT, and Light & Wonder will share their visions for the future, while other panels will dive into emerging tech, cost-cutting back-office innovations, mobile apps, and creating standout digital customer experiences.
Cybersecurity remains a persistent challenge, Day warned, with bad actors getting more creative and using AI to launch sophisticated attacks.
