Poker Central has confirmed that Twitch will be the third official broadcast platform for the 2018 World Series of Poker (WSOP). The 2018 WSOP will once again take place at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and poker enthusiasts from around the world will be looking to tune in to follow the action.

In partnership with Twitch.tv, Poker Central will be streaming 31 tournaments and 25 final tables from June 2 to July 14 via twitch.tv/pokercentral. Twitch is one of the most popular platforms when it comes to poker streaming and some of the biggest live streams on Twitch are popular poker pros such as Jason Somerville, Jaime Staples, Lex Veldhuis and even Daniel Negreanu.

This is a great move by Poker Central to team up with Twitch and stream multiple events from the 2018 WSOP. This will not only help poker enthusiasts from around the world to enjoy the game but it will also help grow the global poker community.

In a statement, Sam Simmons, vice president of content at Poker Central, said

Year after year, our goal is to provide the highest quality poker content to as large an audience possible. To that end, we’re proud to work with our long-time partners at Twitch to produce and distribute additional coverage of the WSOP – the preeminent tournament series in all of poker.

Top Commentary Team For Twitch Streaming

The Twitch stream will be lead and hosted by David Tuchman, a professional commentator for a variety of sporting events like NFL, NHL and NASCAR. In the last years, Tuchman has been a favorite in hosting poker tournament live streams, and he has his fair share of cashes too from the WSOP and the World Poker Tour (WPT).

Jeff Platt, host of the PokerNews podcast and former professional poker player, will be lending commentating support to Tuchman throughout the Twitch stream, in addition to a number of Twitch personalities and poker pros who will come in and out of the booth as color commentators.

The events that will be aired on Twitch include a number of exciting events like the $565 COLOSSUS Final Table on June 8, $50000 Poker Players Championship Day 4 on June 18, $1K Ladies No Limit Hold'em Final Table on June 30, and the $50K High Roller No Limit Hold'em Final Table on July 14.

The Main Event from July 3 to 11 and the Big One for One Drop on July 16 to 17 will not be streaming on Twitch, but will be available live via Poker Central’s PokerGO subscription or through ESPN’s TV broadcast.
