Premier League Fantasy Football Gameweek 27 top picks

Updated On Feb 8, 2018 by David Nugent

We are approaching that time of the week once again, as another week of FPL is nearly upon us. Gameweek 26 was one to forget for us, as Harry Maguire, Callum Wilson and Jay Rodriguez failed to live up to expectation, although Alexis Sanchez did get on the scoresheet.

Anyway, we hope gameweek 27 picks will serve your team better. Here they are:

Lukasz Fabianski (Swansea)

The Poland international has established himself as one of best budget goalkeepers in the last few seasons of FPL. Valued at just £4.6m, only Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, Burnley’s Nick Pope and Manchester City’s Ederson have picked up more points this season. However, Fabianski is cheaper than all three of his competitors.

The former-Arsenal star has made more saves than any other goalkeeper has in the Premier League this season. Even when Swansea concedes goals, Fabianski still picks up points from the number of saves he makes each match.

This weekend, the Swans host Burnley, who have scored just three goals in their last six away games in the top-flight, while failing to score in four of those six games on their travels. The game looks ideal for Fabianski to increase his points tally.

Moritz Bauer (Stoke City)

The Potters January signing has made a big impact in his four Premier League appearances so far since his arrival from Rubin Kazan. The Austrian’s arrival has coincided with the Potters conceding fewer goals.

However, it is his attacking abilities that may make the £4.5m valued star an attractive proposition. The full-back has produced six chances and the same number of successful crosses, more than any player in his position during the last four games.

In gameweek 27, Bauer and his teammates host a Brighton side who have struggled for goals in the top-flight. In fact, the Seagulls have failed to score in six of their last seven league games on their travels. All these facts seem to suggest that Bauer could well prove to be a bargain basement defensive option for your FPL team.

Gerard Deulofeu (Watford)

The Mercurial winger joined the Hornets in the January window on loan from Catalan giants Barcelona. The 23-year-old impressed on his home debut against ten-man Chelsea, scoring and producing an assist in a 4-1 home win.

His performance earned him 13 points, as the winger also picked up maximum bonus points. Deulofeu is certainly an interesting addition to FPL and the Premier League, where he previously featured for Everton. A price tag of just £6m and a visit to injury-ravaged West Ham this weekend certainly makes the former Barcelona star an attractive asset for this gameweek.

Bernardo Silva (Manchester City)

Manchester City attacking assets are now essential to any FPL team. The likes of Kevin de Bruyne and Sergio Aguero are expensive assets, while winger Raheem Sterling is slightly cheaper. An even cheaper asset is former Monaco playmaker Bernardo Silva. Due to injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane, the Portuguese international is starting regularly for City. At £7.4m, he represents a major bargain in a City team were bargains are hard to find.

Silva has now produced an attacking return in six of his last eight appearances for the Citizens. The attacking midfielder is likely to start for City again this weekend, as they welcome Leicester City to the Etihad Stadium. The Citizens are big favourites to record a victory over the visiting Foxes.

Who will be the top picks for gameweek 27 of FPL?
