Cristiano Ronaldo thrilled Manchester United fans last year when he suddenly decided to move on from Italian club Juventus and join the Red Devils.
The 2021-2022 season has been okay for Ronaldo personally as he ended up playing 37 games for Man Utd and scored 24 goals that earned him the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award.
However, Man Utd ended up having a rather poor season even with Ronaldo in the squad and the 5 time Ballon d’Or winner was visibly disappointed multiple times as the way his teammates played.
United Taking Time To Complete Singing Transfers
Ronaldo needs more help from his teammates and the current squad needs to be strengthened. New manager Erik ten Hag knows that as well and is working with Man Utd management to secure a couple of big names to strengthen the squad. However, things haven’t moved along as the deals have not yet materialized and Ronaldo is apparently frustrated at the lack of signing transfers.
Two of the big names that Manchester United are after include Frenkie de Jong who currently plays for Barcelona. United are expected to increase their price to get de Jong to sign with them but its still up in the air as the Dutch star is reported to be keen on continuing with Barcelona.
The Red Devils are also keen on getting the 22 year old Antony who plays for Ajax. The club has carried out informal talks to secure the services of the Brazilian but once again no contract has been signed.
Ronaldo Considering Leaving Man Utd
Ronaldo’s frustration stems from the fact that some of the other big Premier League clubs have already completed important transfer signings. Liverpool has signed Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay, Manchester City has brought on Erling Haaland and Tottenham has signed Yves Bissouma, Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic.
There are talks that the 37 year old Ronaldo is considering a move back to Juventus, if Man United continues to delay their player signings. He has another year on his contract with the Red Devils but is not keen on playing another year at Old Trafford with the same squad from last season.
