Las Vegas Sands Corp has embarked on a new endeavor, this time in the world of digital gaming. The integrated resorts giant has invested in Huddle Tech Inc., a new entity formed out of a recent merger between gaming software supplier Huddle Gaming Inc. and DeckPrism Sports LLC, an in-play odds originator for North American sports.

Huddle Tech recently announced that Las Vegas Sands Corp has jumped on board as a strategic investor, a move that will enable the newly-formed entity to continue to grow and improve its services in the iGaming space.

Las Vegas Sands Corp Exploring New Opportunities

The strategic investment in Huddle Tech by Las Vegas Sands Corp follows the sale of its US properties, which include The Venetian, Venetian Expo, and Palazza, to Apollo Global Management. The acquisition, which was originally announced in March 2021, was completed in February 2022 under a US$6.25 billion deal.

The Chairman and CEO of Las Vegas Sands, Robert Goldstein, previously stated that the company was committed to becoming part of the digital gaming sector in the US and potentially other markets around the world, including Canada, Europe, and South America. As to the prospect of starting an iGaming business in China, Goldstein believes online gambling will remain illegal in the country.

Las Vegas Sands owns and operates Sands China in Macau as well as Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands.

Huddle Tech Aims to Become New Gold Standard in iGaming

Before joining forces with DeckPrism Sports, Huddle Gaming Inc. had already made a name for itself in the online gaming industry by being a top provider of tools and software for gaming operators of all sizes across the globe.

DeckPrism is an equally prominent iGaming brand because of its partnership with major North American sports, such as the National Basketball Association (NBA), National Football League (NFL), National Hockey League (NHL), and Major League Baseball (MLB).

Commenting on the recent merger, Huddle Tech CEO and co-founder of Huddle Gaming Inc. Francesco Borgosano said the unification would further strengthen both of the companies’ existing products and also significantly accelerate their product development.
