iGaming website Coolbet which has focused on online casino games and sports betting is now looking to strengthen its presence in the poker market. The brand is set to launch two live tournaments under the Coolbet Open banner—and the first one is almost here!
Coolbet launched Coolbet Poker in February 2018 in response to the growing demand for attractive online poker and live circuit events.
The poker offering from Coolbet has had a good response so far, attracting poker players from their player bases in the Scandinavian and Estonian regions.
To sustain their new offering and grow their player database, the brand has announced that they are launching two live poker tournaments in 2018.
First will be the Coolbet Open 2018 which I scheduled to take place next month, which will then be followed with the Autumn Festival in October.
Coolbet Open 2018 is their very first live poker festival, where the brand will be holding 27 action-filled events which will run from May 2 to 6 at the Olympic Park Casino in the Estonian capital of Tallinn. The Coolbet Open 2018 deviates from the format of very first Coolbet Open 2017, where they ran mostly sports betting and fantasy sports events.

Coolbet Poker A Response To Player Demand
In a statement, Thomas Pasgaard Hviid, Poker Manager of Coolbet, said,
Our players have been craving for us to launch a poker festival and we believe it's important to show our players who are behind the company and we couldn't find a better forum than getting them over to Tallinn and giving them the best experience possible in our hometown!
Coolbet has high expectations for the upcoming tournament as they will be pumping in more than €300,000 into the tournament. The brand expects more than 300 players hailing from Finland, Norway, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden and even the US to join the Coolbet Open 2018 at the Olympic Park Casino and contribute to creating a €200,000 prize pool.
One of the most anticipated events at the Coolbet Open 2018 is the Main Event. Coolbet is giving away tickets and €1,200 packages to the Main Event via online freerolls and small buy-in satellites which are taking place daily at the Coolbet website. There are also live satellites that will take place the Coolbet Open 2018 from May 2, where a minimum of seven Main Event seats will be given away.
Inspired by the success and format of the Battle of Malta, Coolbet Open is also offering a variety of other PLO and NLHE events, including a Coolbet & European Poker Girls Ladies Event.
