Basketball fans were treated to a fantastic playoff series between the Toronto Raptors and the Philadelphia 76ers.

The momentum went back and forth between the two teams right throughout the playoffs as the Raptors won the first game but the 76ers bounced back to tie the series. This went on till game 6 and forced both teams in game 7 for a decision.

The Raptors started Game 7 really well in front of their home fans at the Scotiabank Arena. Both teams defended well but the Raptors made their shots count and won the first quarter 18-13. The 76ers came back hard in the second quarter and had a good one to win it 27-26 but the Raptors still maintained a 4 point lead at half-time.

Both teams played really well in the third and fourth quarters and there were many who were expecting the game to go into extra time. However, Kawhi Leonard who had a great night for the Raptors pulled of an amazing shot just as the final buzzer went off.

Kawhi Leonard took the ball to the far corner of the court and took a fadeaway shot in the nick of time. The ball hit the rim and bounced a number of times as the 76ers wished that it would bounce out but it fell in and gave the Toronto Raptors a 92-90 victory against the 76ers.

Kawhi finished the night on 41 points with 8 rebounds and 3 assists. He received support from Serge Ibaka who scored 17 points with 8 rebound and 3 assists. For the 76ers, Joel Embiid scored 21 points with 11 rebounds and 4 assists.

76ers Take On Milwaukee Bucks

The Toronto Raptors were thrilled with their Eastern Conference semi-final win and will now advance to take on the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference finals. This is historic for the Raptors as it is only the second time in their history that they are making it to the Eastern Conference finals.

The last time they made the finals was back in 2016 when they lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Raptors would have loved to have won the series earlier and take a much needed rest but that’s not going to be the case. They play Game 1 against the Bucks on 15 May and will be keen to start with a win!
