After a mixed gameweek 18 for us, we are back to give you our top picks for gameweek 19. Here are the players we think will score high in the latest gameweek:
The Spanish stopper has returned to the Irons team in recent weeks and produced some impressive displays. The Hammers have now kept three consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League and the goalkeeper has played a major part in that defensive solidity.
Although he has only picked up one bonus point from his four Premier League appearances, at £4.3m Adrian is hard to ignore as a bargain asset for your FPL.
Another factor in his selection is that opponents Newcastle head to the London Stadium having lost eight of their last nine games in the top-flight. Rafa Benitez’s side have failed to score in their last two top-flight games.
Although the Spaniard is one of the more expensive defensive options at £7m, he always offers a threat going forward. Last season he produced assists and goals on a regular basis.
Alonso has already scored four goals and produced on assist and last time out, scored a massive 14 points, courtesy of a goal and a clean sheet. With Alonso, even if the Blues concede he can get you points at the other end of the pitch.
The Blues do face a tricky trip to Everton on Saturday lunchtime. However, the former Fiorentina star could also prove a good long-term asset, as the Blues have good fixtures after their trip to Merseyside.
Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)
Sterling is, without doubt, one of the players with the biggest potential to produce big points this weekend. The England winger is City’s top scorer in the Premier League and added to his tally with a brace against Tottenham in the Citizens last league outing.
Only Manchester City teammate Kevin De Bruyne and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah have picked more points than the former Liverpool star from midfield this season.
However, the winger is far cheaper at £8.6m than the aforementioned pair. A home game with struggling Bournemouth offers him a chance to add to his impressive stats of late. He has to be thought of as a potential captain for gameweek 19.
Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)
Due to the wealth of midfield options, we have decided not to include a striker on our list and instead pick another attacking midfielder in Palace forward Wilfried Zaha.
The former Manchester United star has played a prominent part in the Eagles recent seven-game unbeaten run. In recent games, he has played in more of a free role than previously and has thrived in the position.
In the last three league games, Zaha has either produced an assist or scored a goal, producing two assists and last time out a goal. He looks to be back to his best and at £6.9m he is not wildly expensive.
A trip to struggling Swansea on Saturday provides the winger with the perfect opportunity to continue his good run of recent form for Roy Hodgson’s team.
