Summary:
- Patrick Mahomes threw three touchdown passes and ran for another in a dominant 30-17 Chiefs-Lions victory.

- Marquise Brown caught two touchdowns as Kansas City handed the Lions their first loss in five games.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs knew they’d have their hands full against a confident Detroit Lions team on Sunday night. However, they most likely didn’t expect the game to end in a brawl.
Mahomes threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns, added another on the ground, and led the Chiefs to a convincing 30–17 win at Arrowhead Stadium. The game turned chippy after the final whistle when Lions safety Brian Branch threw a punch at JuJu Smith-Schuster, sparking a brief scuffle between players.
A fight broke out at the end of the Lions-Chiefs game.

It is what it is. You just kind of move on. We won the football game.
Kansas City (3–3) looked sharp from the start, avoiding penalties and turnovers just a week after a frustrating loss in Jacksonville. Marquise Brown caught two touchdowns and rookie Xavier Worthy added another, while the Chiefs’ defense held the league’s highest-scoring offense in check, snapping Detroit’s four-game winning streak.
“We just didn’t make the plays we needed to make”, Lions coach Dan Campbell said. He called Branch’s punch “inexcusable and not going to be accepted here”, adding that he’d already apologized to the Chiefs.
We were able to do some good things in phases at times but not enough for a team like that with the pedigrees they have
Campbell: “It’s Disappointing”
Detroit’s offense never found its rhythm. Jared Goff threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns, but Amon-Ra St. Brown was held to 45 yards, and running back Jahmyr Gibbs managed just 65 yards on 17 carries.
The Lions opened the game with a 15-play drive that ate nearly 10 minutes of clock, but penalties wiped out a touchdown and forced them to settle for a field goal.
Mahomes quickly answered, leading a crisp eight-play drive capped by Worthy’s six-yard touchdown. The teams traded scores in the first half before Kansas City took control in the third quarter. Brown’s first touchdown stretched the lead, and his second sealed it.

I’m disappointed. We got worked pretty good. So yeah, it’s disappointing.
Mahomes’ four-touchdown night also marked a milestone: his 302nd career passing score, making him the fastest quarterback in NFL history to reach 300, doing it in just 139 games.
