LA Lakers Make It To The NBA Finals After 10 Years

Updated On Sep 28, 2020 by Landon Wheeler

Los Angeles LakersThe LA Lakers who are our tip for the title had to get past the Denver Nuggets to make it to the NBA finals and they did so in style. They went into Game 5 with a 3-1 lead and knew that if they won on Saturday night, they would make it to their first NBA Finals in 10 years.

The Lakers proved to be just too much for the Nuggets to handle as LeBron James put in an epic performance scoring 38 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists. He also ended up with his 27th triple double in the playoffs and looked unstoppable.

Kings James stepped up his game in the final quarter and ended up 22 points. What was even more impressive was that he scored 16 of those points in under 12 minutes. He received great support from Anthony Davis who finished with 27 points.

This will be the 9th time that LeBron James is going to the NBA finals in the last 10 years. He made the finals for four consecutive years in a row with Miami Heat during 2011 and 2014; then another four consecutive finals with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

James went to the Lakers in 2019 and many expected him to take the Lakers to the NBA finals last year but a series of injuries and a lack of support saw the Lakers and James fall short. This year, James with the help of Anthony Davis have made fans of the Lakers really proud.

Davis and James said they were happy to win the Western Conference finals and make it to the NBA Finals. Davis said there was still a lot of work to be done as the team needs to be at the top of their game in the next four final games to get their hands on the trophy.

LeBron James Focused On NBA Championship

LeBron James has had to keep his focus on the NBA Championship and not get distracted by things happening both on and off the court. He admitted earlier this month that he was pissed off for not winning the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award after it was given to Giannis Antetokounmpo. King James has been the most dominant player in the NBA for the last decade but has only 2 MVP awards to show for it.

James has also been called out by MMA star Colby Colvington for being a coward and supporting Black Lives Matter (BLM). James has ignored those call outs so far and continues to focus on bringing attention to BLM.
