It was business as usual for <strong>PokerStars<\/strong> which managed to maintain its online poker growth.<\/p>\n<h2>Partypoker Having A Great Time<\/h2>\n<p>Online poker has generally fared less favourably than other online gambling verticals, but partypoker is still enjoying great success. <\/p>\n<p>Presenting the company\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/gvc-plc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/2018-Full-Year-Results.pdf\">full-year results<\/a>, <strong>Kenneth Alexander<\/strong>, GVC Holdings CEO, said the online poker room has engaged in a bit of a David-Goliath battle with PokerStars, but the future looks bright for partypoker as the growth trend is continuing this year, with revenues increasing by 38 percent in the first few months.<\/p>\n<p>With partypoker now overtaking 888poker as the world\u2019s second-largest online poker room, it is currently nipping at the heels of the online poker giant PokerStars. Partypoker has been working hard to regain market share in the real money online poker sector, under the management of <strong>Tom Waters<\/strong> and UK\u2019s Dusk Till Dawn proprietor <strong>Rob Yong<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The team has recently introduced a number of changes to its poker platform, which include giving away up to 50 percent rakeback to loyal players, organizing massive events like the record-breaking <em>$20 Million GTD MILLIONS Online tournament<\/em>, as well as launching the partypoker LIVE tour. <\/p>\n<p>Partypoker\u2019s <strong>online poker revenue is estimated to have exceeded \u20ac137 million in 2018<\/strong>, a significant increase from the \u20ac98 million generated in 2017. This makes 2018 the highest-earning year for partypoker since 2012 when it generated \u20ac175 million.<\/p>\n<h2>PokerStars Still Leads the Race<\/h2>\n<p>The Stars Group-owned PokerStars is still the frontrunner in the online poker industry, though the <strong>poker room only recorded an increase of 1.1 percent in 2018<\/strong>, generating $886.6 million. <a href=\"https:\/\/s1.rationalcdn.com\/vendors\/stars-group\/documents\/financial-information\/financial-results\/Q4-2018\/TSG-4Q18-Financial-Statements.pdf\">PokerStars\u2019 Q4 revenue<\/a> dropped to $211 million, owing to currency fluctuations.<\/p>\n<p>Poker accounts for the biggest chunk (61.6%) of The Stars Group\u2019s annual revenue in 2018 compared to casino and sports betting which also saw an increase in revenue bringing it to $507 million, which was 35.3 percent of the company\u2019s total full-year income.<\/p>\n<h2>888poker Suffers Significant Drop in Revenue<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/html.investis.com\/8\/888Holdings\/pdf\/888-2018-full-year-results.pdf\">2018 financial report for 888poker<\/a> yielded gloomy figures.
