The possibility of hitting it in the water is very real at this course, and there are also over 100 bunkers. <\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s take a quick look at the field and some betting odds before predicting a winner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Field:<\/strong> After almost all of the game\u2019s best golfers took part in the World Golf Classic in Mexico last weekend, a lot of big names are sitting out this weekend. The Honda Classic field is without <strong>Dustin Johnson<\/strong> who blew away the field last weekend. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/golf\/43192132\">Last year\u2019s Honda Classic champion, Justin Thomas<\/a>, is back this season and is the deserving and overwhelming favourite. <strong>Luke List<\/strong> is also back, who lost a playoff to Thomas last year to lose the tournament. <strong>Rickie Fowler<\/strong> and <strong>Adam Scott<\/strong> were also recent winners in this event, and should be considered strong contenders again in 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WPBF 25 News<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3juqp9QvCec?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<h2>The Odds<\/h2>\n<h3>Favourites<\/h3>\n<p>Justin Thomas (<em>+510<\/em>)<br \/>\nRickie Fowler (<em>+945<\/em>)<br \/>\nBrooks Koepka (<em>+1225<\/em>)<br \/>\nAdam Scott (<em>+1400<\/em>)<br \/>\nSergio Garcia (<em>+1600<\/em>)<br \/>\nGary Woodland (<em>+1900<\/em>)<br \/>\nWebb Simpson (<em>+2200<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>Realistically, the winner of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehondaclassic.com\">2019 Honda Championship<\/a> should come from this group of talented golfers. All seven of these players have had success at this event in the past, and they can all play great with their irons, which is a must at the PGA National. <strong>Justin Thomas<\/strong> is the clear favourite at <em>+510<\/em> largely based on his victory here a season ago. Knox finished top-3 in both 2014 and 2015 and it is clear that he feels comfortable at this course. The Scottish golfer has already had one top-10 finish this season, and looks like he is close to breaking out. It might be worth taking a shot on Russell Knox at the Honda Classic this weekend.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Winner:<\/strong> Webb Simpson <em>+2200<\/em> &#8211; Taking Justin Thomas to win the 2019 Honda Classic is the easiest choice, but that doesn&#8217;t always work when betting on golf. I like Webb Simpson this weekend, and you can get him at a great deal at <em>+2200<\/em>. Simpson is from the East Coast and should be comfortable playing at Florida this weekend.
