{"id":8763,"date":"2018-12-27T15:25:20","date_gmt":"2018-12-27T15:25:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/news\/?p=8763"},"modified":"2018-12-27T15:25:20","modified_gmt":"2018-12-27T15:25:20","slug":"hard-rock-atlantic-city-given-transactional-waiver-for-sports-betting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/news\/hard-rock-atlantic-city-given-transactional-waiver-for-sports-betting\/","title":{"rendered":"Hard Rock AC Given Transactional Waiver For Sports Betting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/hard-rock-atlantic-city.jpg\" alt=\"Hard Rock Atlantic City\" width=\"300\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8769\" \/>Things are going to get a lot more competitive for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/news\/new-jersey-rakes-in-sixteen-million-from-sports-bets-being-legal\/\">New Jersey\u2019s sports betting industry<\/a> as Hard Rock International Atlantic City moves forward with its plans of launching sports betting services. <\/p>\n<p>The <strong>New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement<\/strong> (NJDGE) recently gave Hard Rock AC a transactional waiver along with their partner Hillside New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p>Hillside New Jersey which is an affiliate of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/reviews\/bet365\">Bet365<\/a> signed a partnership agreement with Hard Rock AC in June to proceed with sports betting services. <\/p>\n<p>The recently ruling from the NJDGE allows these two parties to launch sports betting services in the Garden State even though they do not have a license approval as of now. <\/p>\n<p>The transactional waiver is usually given when it is just a matter of time before the official license is approved. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Hard Rock<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GcoGZXTN6Mk?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>Obtaining a transactional waiver is important because Bet365 cannot conduct any business in partnership with Hard Rock AC without the waiver. New Jersey has made it a practice in recent years to issue transactional waivers as the process of obtaining full license approval can take a long period of time due to the red tape that one has to go through and meet stringent gaming regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Bet365 is looking to obtain a <strong>Casino Service Industry Enterprise<\/strong> (CSIE) license in New Jersey which will allow its Hillside affiliate to provide good and services to casino operators in the state. The license will allow Hillside to offer a wide range of products including wagering equipment, slot machine distributors and gaming equipment.<\/p>\n<h2>Hard Rock \u2013 GIG Partnership  <\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hardrockhotels.com\/atlantic-city\">Hard Rock Atlantic City<\/a> has also entered into a partnership with <strong>Gaming Innovation Group<\/strong> (GiG) who will serve as the main sports betting provider. The two companies signed a partnership agreement in October and expect to launch operations in early 2019. Bet365 will provide a skin to the Hard Rock Atlantic City sports betting market and will mark Bet365\u2019s entry into the New Jersey market.<\/p>\n<p>New Jersey\u2019s sports betting industry has turned out to be highly competitive as betting operators have been eager to claim a piece of the lucrative sports betting market. New Jersey led the way in the fight against overturning the PASPA 1992 Act that banned sports betting.
