We saw some big upsets take place as well as the playoff pictures begin to take shape. <\/p>\n<p>Following the weekend, we\u2019re here to bring you some of the big storylines leading up to Thanksgiving football and week 12.<\/p>\n<p>Every quarterback selected in the first round this past offseason has now started and won a game this season. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Lamar Jackson<\/strong> got his first start against the Bengals this past week with <strong>Joe Flacco<\/strong> nursing a hip injury. <\/p>\n<p>It wasn&#8217;t so much what Jackson did through the air (<em>13\/19 for 150 yards, 1 INT<\/em>) but with his legs, as the Ravens opened the game running on their first 10+ plays. Jackson ended the day with 27 carries for 117 yards as he put the league on notice with his gamebreaking mobility. The Ravens said they are open to keeping Jackson as the starter as they take on the Raiders next week and try to stay in the playoff hunt.<\/p>\n<h2>Theismann 2.0?<\/h2>\n<p>The Washington Redskins have dealt with a bevy of injuries this season, but none as crucial as this. Quarterback <strong>Alex Smith<\/strong> suffered a gruesome leg injury in the 3rd quarter of Washington\u2019s <em>23-21<\/em> loss to the Texans, and head coach Jay Gruden said after the game that he broke his tibia and fibula. <\/p>\n<p>Former Redskins quarterback <strong>Joe Theismann<\/strong> was at the game, and said that the injury looked eerily <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/14154498\/ten-things-not-know-joe-theismann-gruesome-broken-leg-1985\">similar to his injury back in 1985<\/a>. What is even more of a strange coincidence, Theismann\u2019s career ending injury occurred 33 years ago to the day from Sunday. Thoughts and prayers to Smith as we hope his injury is not as serious and he gets to return to the football field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CNBC Television<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8KFH-Iap1ok?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Future Browns Head Coach??<\/h2>\n<p>In another Sunday morning news dump, <strong>Adam Schefter<\/strong> reported that the Browns were interested in interviewing <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CondoleezzaRice\">former US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice<\/a> for their upcoming head coaching vacancy. <\/p>\n<p>However, Browns general manager <strong>John Dorsey<\/strong> released a statement Sunday stating <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is a great leader, possesses the highest possible character and also happens to be a Browns fan. I have the utmost respect and admiration for all she&#39;s accomplished and was honored to meet her for the first time earlier this season. Our coaching search will be thorough and deliberate, but we are still in the process of composing the list of candidates and Secretary Rice has not been discussed<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Rice responded stating <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I love my Browns &#8212; and I know they will hire an experienced coach to take us to the next level. On a more serious note, I do hope that the NFL will start to bring women into the coaching profession as position coaches and eventually coordinators and head coaches. One doesn&#39;t have to play the game to understand it and motivate players. But experience counts &#8212; and it is time to develop a pool of experienced women coaches.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It is believed among some pundits that the news was released in an effort to create publicity for the position that Rice really wants, which is NFL Commissioner.<\/p>\n<h2>What. A. Game.<\/h2>\n<p>Hopefully you stayed up to watch the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/news\/nfls-monday-night-football-free-pick-kansas-city-chiefs-at-los-angeles-rams-preview\/\">Rams\/Chiefs matchup last night<\/a> in its entirety. It was unquestionably the best game of the season to date, and definitely lived up to the hype surrounding the matchup that had been building to mountainous heights in the previous weeks. With <em>over 1000 yards of total offense, 10 passing TDs, 105 points scored, 7 turnovers, and 3 defensive TDs<\/em> it was as back and forth as a game could be, and was an absolute blast to watch.<\/p>\n<p>There has been a lot of talk surrounding these two teams and the Saints (who defeated the Rams 2 weeks ago), all entering the week 9-1, and which of the 3 is the best team in football.
