While the Twitter poll is by no means scientific or highly accurate, it does provide an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/poker\">interesting insight as to how most online poker<\/a> players would respond to different scenarios.<\/p>\n<p>The first question in the poll asked players <strong>what they would do if their opponent disconnected from an online game<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>The two response choices were <strong>(a)<\/strong> <em>to sit out and wait<\/em> or <strong>(b)<\/strong> <em>steal the blinds<\/em>. An incredible 83% of the 7,531 responses said they would consider stealing the blinds. Only 17% would opt to wait for their opponent to return.<\/p>\n<p>Other players justified their answers, with one person saying it is part of the game, while another said it is okay to rob the blinds because it is an online game.<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">You&#39;re playing heads up in a tournament, your opponent disconnects, what do you do and comment why if you feel strongly either way.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Patrick Leonard (@plenopads) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/plenopads\/status\/1058867759252160512?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 3, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<h2>Surprising Results<\/h2>\n<p>The second question asked players what their reaction would be <strong>if their favourite poker site encountered a manual error that paid them an additional 25% rakeback<\/strong>. There were three responses to choose from \u2013 <strong>(a)<\/strong> <em>to tell the website something went wrong<\/em>, <strong>(b)<\/strong> <em>to continue playing normally<\/em>, or <strong>(c)<\/strong><em>to rake in as much as possible<\/em>. Players could respond through a <em>YES<\/em> or a <em>NO<\/em>. The results greatly surprised a number of prominent poker players, including <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/themouthmatusow\">American poker pro Mike Matusow<\/a>. The four-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner said it was pretty disgrace to see that there are so many unethical players in the game today.<\/p>\n<p>The ethical level of today\u2019s generation of players is comparably lower than those of the past. One of the reasons for that is a decade or so ago, most online players played for fun and recreation.
