Ramsey was quoted as saying <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I don\u2019t think Gronk is any good\u2026any time Gronk has been matched up with a corner, he\u2019s had a very bad game\u2026<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Gronkowski brushed off the comments in an interview Wednesday, saying <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>if that\u2019s how he feels, that\u2019s how he feels\u2026I just gotta do my job out on the field and just worry about that<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I don\u2019t know if Ramsey and Gronk will have a chance to matchup Sunday, but if they do I\u2019ll be keeping a close eye because it will be a dogfight.<\/p>\n<h2>Darnold Impresses in Rookie Debut<\/h2>\n<p>Jets quarterback <strong>Sam Darnold<\/strong> faced a tough test in week 1, traveling to Detroit for a Monday night game, and threw a pick 6 on his first throw to boot. But Darnold bounced back, unfazed, and <em>completed 16 of his next 20 throws and threw 2 touchdowns<\/em>. Darnold has the opportunity to build on this start when the Jets take on the Dolphins at home Sunday at 1 ET<\/p>\n<h2>Bills\u2019 McDermott Doing What\u2019s \u201c<em>Best for the Team<\/em>\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>Bills Head Coach <strong>Sean McDermott<\/strong> is opting to start rookie quarterback <strong>Josh Allen<\/strong> Sunday against the Chargers after Nathan Peterman\u2019s dreadful performance last week. Peterman went 5\/18 for 24 yards and 2 interceptions in Buffalo\u2019s 47-3 loss against the Ravens, in just the first half. <\/p>\n<p>In an interview Wednesday, McDermott emphasized he was doing \u201c<em>what\u2019s best for the team<\/em>\u201d repeatedly when asked about the decision to start Allen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>News 8 WROC<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mIiXCluSepU?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Saints\u2019 Defense Back to Irrelevancy?<\/h2>\n<p>The Saints went into last weekend as 8.5 point favorites against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, at home, and with the Bucs starting a 35-year-old journeyman at QB in <strong>Ryan Fitzpatrick<\/strong>. Fitzmagic proceeded to dice up the Saints defense, <em>scoring 5 total touchdowns<\/em> and leading the Bucs to a 48-40 win over the Saints.<\/p>\n<p>Last season, the Saints defense was one of the top stories in the league. Defensive Rookie of the Year <strong>Marshon Lattimore<\/strong> and DPOY candidate <strong>Cam Jordan<\/strong> led a unit that was as strong as the <strong>Drew Brees<\/strong> led offense.<\/p>\n<p>In the past, they had been a huge liability for years, preventing <strong>Drew Brees<\/strong> from making another full-blown run at a Super Bowl. In week 1, the Saints D looked much like those previous teams, getting burnt in coverage and struggling to get pressure up front. Let\u2019s hope it was a week 1 fluke, and the defense was just getting some early season jitters out of the way.<\/p>\n<h2>Titans-Dolphins Setting Records<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Tennessee Titans<\/strong> travelled to Miami to take on the Dolphins, a 1 PM ET kickoff and appeared to be your run of the mill \u201c<em>bad weather game<\/em>\u201d\u2026until the first weather delay which lasted almost 2 hours.<\/p>\n<p>The teams took an unconventionally short halftime, and halfway through the 3rd quarter, another delay hit, and the game didn&#8217;t start back up until about 7:00 PM ET. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennessean.com\/story\/sports\/nfl\/titans\/2018\/09\/09\/tennessee-titans-miami-dolphins-longest-nfl-game\/1251686002\/\">game as a whole lasted over 7 hours<\/a>, shattering the previous record for Longest NFL Game by almost two hours.<\/p>\n<p>It will be interesting to monitor these teams in the coming weeks and see whether the exceptionally long game has any short-term effects.<\/p>\n<h2>Who\u2019s Got the Hot Butts?<\/h2>\n<p>Some coaches who were on the hot seat to start the year overachieved in week 1, while some mainstays find themselves looking over their shoulder. Every week we\u2019re gonna take a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/sports-betting\/american-football\/nfl\">look at the hottest seats in the NFL<\/a> with a ladder ranking from 1-5, with 1 being the hottest.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Hue Jackson<\/strong> &#8211; I mean no brainer right, the guy hasn\u2019t won since 2016<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dirk Koetter<\/strong> &#8211; would have been #1 if not for the big week 1 win<\/li>\n<li><strong>Marvin Lewis<\/strong> &#8211; Bengals HC since \u201903, 0-7 playoff record<\/li>\n<li><strong>Adam Gase<\/strong> &#8211; make or break year for the Dolphins HC<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jason Garrett<\/strong>, bit of a surprise? He\u2019s shown little consistency in 7 years<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Injury Updates<\/h2>\n<p>*<em>Something to keep in mind, being placed on IR does not necessarily mean out for the season.
