Nasdaq conducted the confidential meeting <strong>\u201cget the industry on the path to legitimacy.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nasdaq did acknowledge that the meeting took place, but resisted from divulging additional details. One of Bloomberg\u2019s unknown sources <strong>\u201cfamiliar with the event\u201d<\/strong> has revealed that many such meetings are expected in the months to come.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, Adena Friedman, President and CEO of Nasdaq had mentioned that cryptocurrencies have the capability to become a <strong>\u201cfinancial element of the internet.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In April, Friedman stated that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/news\/gemini-to-monitor-cryptos-with-nasdaqs-smarts-surveillance-tech\/\">Nasdaq could become a platform for trading cryptocurrencies<\/a> in the future, provided the market becomes regulated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nasdaq held a closed-door meeting last week to discuss the process of legitimizing the cryptocurrency sector in global markets.
