The game was a fantastic advertisement for the competition, with former Giallorossi star Mohamed Salah<\/a> at the heart of the action once again, scoring twice and producing two assists.<\/p>\n

Roma offered the first threat on goal, as Edin Dzeko missed the target with an effort. Salah then also fired a warning shot at the Roma goal. There were signs of what was yet to come from the home side, as Roberto Firmino dragged a shot wide of Allison\u2019s goal, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain<\/strong> his a shot straight down the throat of the Roma goalkeeper. The England midfielder then sustained what looked like a serious knee injury and was stretchered off the pitch<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Former Manchester City full-back Aleksandar Kolarov tired his luck from long-range and Reds goalkeeper Loris Karius nervously palmed the effort onto his own woodwork. However, the home side came right back at the visitors, as Sadio Mane fired two chances over the bar after good work by Firmino. Allison also produced a good save from a low Salah shot.<\/p>\n

The Egyptian did finally find a breakthrough on 35 minutes expertly curling an effort from the edge of the area that flew past Allison via the bar. The Reds could have had a second soon afterwards, as Dejan Lovren\u2019s header from a corner kick clipped the bar. However, the home side did double their lead in first-half stoppage-time. Firmino produced a superb through ball to Salah, who produced a calm dinked finish over the advancing Allison.<\/p>\n

Jurgen Klopp\u2019s side made it three early in the second half, as Mane tapped in from a Salah cross with Roma pushing up in an attempt to score an away goal. The home side were soon four up, as once again Salah tormented the visitor’s defence and found Firmino who had the simple task of tapping home.<\/p>\n

The Merseysiders added a fifth goal on 68 minutes, as Firmino<\/strong> rose highest to head home James Milner\u2019s corner kick. Liverpool boss Klopp decided that Roma had had enough punishment and then substituted Salah to a standing ovation from the home fans.<\/p>\n

Roma made it nervy in the last ten minutes by scoring twice. The Giallorossi\u2019s first goal arrived on 81 minutes, as Edin Dzeko<\/a><\/strong> capitalised on poor defending from Dejan Lovren to score his 21st<\/sup> goal of the season in all competitions. The team from the Italian capital then gave themselves a sliver of hope for the second leg, as Diego Perotti<\/strong> scored from the penalty spot after James Milner had handled the ball in the area.<\/p>\n

Roma will still believe they have a chance<\/h2>\n

The two away goals have at least given the Giallorossi some hope of turning the tie around, especially as they needed a similar scoreline to beat Catalan giants Barcelona<\/a> in the last round and won 3-0. However, Liverpool are the Champions League\u2019s top scorers and the Italian side will struggle to stop the Reds from scoring at the Olimpico. Jurgen Klopp\u2019s side are very much favourites to make it to the final in Kiev<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

My name is David Nugent and I am editor-in-chief of LegalGamblingAndTheLaw.com. I have always enjoyed various sports, primarily soccer, as I am a die-hard Everton fan. On one occasion, I decided to go on a road trip to Vegas with my friends, and, needless to say, I fell in love with the bright lights, humongous buildings, and fantastic casinos. That\u2019s when I discovered the whole gambling scene I knew nothing about. Of course, I knew how to play some games, such as poker and blackjack, but I never realized how well-developed this industry actually was. That trip changed my perspective on what I wanted to do with my life. After I graduated, I took some time off and I traveled through the US, exploring various casinos and land-based sportsbooks. I also spent one year in the UK, where my dream of watching Everton play finally came true. There, I realized how advanced the whole gambling industry is and that the legal aspect of it was quite different than in the US. I spent that time writing for various online platforms where I had the opportunity to share my extensive knowledge about sports. When I came back to the US, I was given a chance to write for an international soccer magazine where I covered the Premier League \u2014 which I was crazy about \u2014 Bundesliga, and other international tournaments. After having written hundreds of sports-related articles, I knew what I wanted to do \u2014 create my own platform and share my knowledge with others. How LegalGamblingAndTheLaw.com Came to Life Once I set the goal, I started doing extensive research on the online gambling industry and the laws surrounding it. I wanted to combine my background in law and the passion I have for sports and create a high-quality online platform. While the online gambling industry was flourishing in Europe, the exact opposite was happening in the US. That is, until 2018 when PASPA (Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act) was overturned. After that, every US state was allowed to introduce new laws and provide operators that wanted to offer various online gambling opportunities with licenses. That was the start of the online gambling industry in the US.
