Crystal Palace 0-1 Tottenham<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

This game was never going to be an easy one for Tottenham, with Crystal Palace fighting relegation. It turned out it was not, as Spurs needed a late goal from Harry Kane to bag all three points.<\/p>\n

Tottenham looked unfortunate not to win a penalty kick on eight minutes, as Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey appeared to bring down Ben Davies in the area. However, referee Kevin Friend decided not to point to the spot. Hennessey was in the action soon afterwards producing a good save to keep out Harry Kane.<\/p>\n

On 29 minutes, the referee assistant\u2019s flag saved Palace from conceding a penalty after Timothy Fosu-Mensah brought Kane down in the area. However, Friend pointed to the spot before noticing his colleague\u2019s flag was up. Kane volleyed wide of goal from six-yards when well positioned on 53 minutes, while Hennessey also kept out a powerful Serge Aurier effort in the second period.<\/p>\n

The Palace \u2018keeper was in action again on 71 minutes, this time producing a superb full-stretch save from a low Ben Davies effort. Aurier had a chance to win the game with just five minutes on the clock. Davies\u2019 cross found his fellow full-back just a few yards out and instead of tapping home, the former PSG star stood on the ball and the danger was cleared.<\/p>\n

The visitors finally found the breakthrough with just two minutes left on the clock. Christian Eriksen\u2019s floated corner found Kane\u2019s head and despite Hennessey getting a hand to the effort it was not enough to keep it out of the net.<\/p>\n

The victory moved Tottenham into the league top-four, two points clear of London rivals Chelsea in the race for Champions League spots. Meanwhile, Palace are only out of the relegation zone on goal difference.<\/p>\n

Manchester United 2-1 Chelsea <\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"This game was massive in the race for Champions League spots, with United getting the better of the Blues in an entertaining clash. United are now second favourites to qualify for the Champions League<\/a><\/strong> from the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Chelsea took the lead on 32 minutes. Willian played a one-two with Eden Hazard before hitting a powerful effort through David De Gea\u2019s body. United were level seven minutes later. Good play from Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial put Romelu Lukaku through on goal and the former Everton star fired past Thibaut Courtois from six yards out.<\/p>\n

Both teams threatened in the second period. However, the home side found a winning goal with just 15 minutes remaining. Lukaku was involved again, as the Belgian international curled a superb cross on to the head of Jesse Lingard, who scored his 13th<\/sup> goal of the season.<\/p>\n

The victory was vital to Manchester United, who jumped back above Liverpool into second place. United are now two points clear of the Reds and six points clear of Chelsea, as the Blues dropped to fifth-place outside of the Champions League spots. Antonio Conte\u2019s side are now two points behind fourth-place Chelsea.<\/p>\n
