Here is what happened on a busy day of Premier League action on Monday:<\/p>\n

Brighton 2-2 Bournemouth <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

An entertaining south coast derby resulted in honours even at the AMEX Stadium. The Seagulls took the lead after just five minutes, as Anthony Knockaert fired home from a Jose Izquierdo cross.<\/p>\n

The Cherries were level on 33 minutes, though, as centre-back Steve Cook\u2019s looped header from Jordon Ibe sailed over Mat Ryan in the Brighton goal. The home side were back ahead just three minutes into the second half, as Glenn Murray finished from another Izquierdo cross. However, the visitors equalised with just 11 minutes left on the clock.<\/p>\n

A goalmouth scramble resulted in striker Callum Wilson poking home the winning goal to the Cherries a share of the points. The draw moved Eddie Howe\u2019s side three points clear of the relegation zone. Brighton are five points above the drop zone.<\/p>\n

Burnley 1-2 Liverpool<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

This game was always going to be a tight one, but Liverpool snatched a last-gasp victory at Turf Moor. The Reds took the lead just after the hour mark. Winger Sadio Mane controlled the ball before firing a superb effort from just inside the area past Nick Pope in the Clarets goal.<\/p>\n

The home side looked to have won themselves a point on 87 minutes. Nahki Wells flicked a header on to the back post and winger Johann Gudmundsson stopped to head home. However, the visitors were not finished yet and scored the winning goal four minutes into stoppage-time. Dejan Lovren found central defensive partner Ragnar Klavan, who headed home.<\/p>\n

The victory moves the Reds six points clear of fourth-place Arsenal, who have a game in-hand. Burnley remain seventh in the table.<\/p>\n

Leicester 3-0 Huddersfield<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The Foxes took the lead on 53 minutes. Marc Albrighton\u2019s cross fell to Riyad Mahrez at the far post and the winger hit a first-time effort past Jonas Lossl. The home side doubled their lead just before the hour mark. Mahrez released Islam Slimani and when one-on-one with Lossl, the striker chipped the ball over the Dane to double his side’s lead. Albrighton slotted home the third goal in stoppage-time to give the home side a convincing victory.<\/p>\n

The Foxes consolidated their position in eighth in the table while closing the gap on the teams above them. The visitors are still sitting comfortably in 11th<\/sup> place in the table despite the defeat.<\/p>\n

Stoke 0-1 Newcastle<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Newcastle pulled off what could be a massive victory at the bottom of the table at the Bet365 Stadium. The only goal of the game arrived on 73 minutes. Jacob Murphy\u2019s superb cross found Ayoze Perez, who past Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland. Despite late pressure from the home side and a few good saves by Magpies goalkeeper Karl Darlow, the Potters could not find an equaliser.<\/p>\n

The win lifted Rafa Benitez\u2019s team up to 13th<\/sup> in the Premier League table, four points clear of the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Stoke are 16th<\/sup> in the table and just two points clear of the drop zone.<\/p>\n

Everton 0-2 Manchester United<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The Red Devils recorded a 2-0 win at Goodison Park over a lacklustre Everton. The visitors struggled to break the home side down. However, they eventually found a breakthrough on 57 minutes.<\/p>\n

Influential midfielder Paul Pogba teed up Anthony Martial on the edge of the area and the French forward curled a superb effort beyond the despairing dive of Everton \u2018keeper Jordan Pickford. United sealed the points on 81 minutes. Pogba found Jesse Lingard on the flank, the winger cut inside and from 20 yards out curled an effort past Pickford.<\/p>\n

The victory moved Manchester United back up to second in the table, although Jose Mourinho\u2019s side still trails league leaders Manchester City by 12 points having played an extra game. Everton are still securely in ninth position in the table.<\/p>\n
