One such altcoin named <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/bitcoin-diamond-scam-claims\/\">Bitcoin Diamond has received the market\u2019s attention<\/a> for the wrong reasons. Hardware wallet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ledgerwallet.com\/\">Ledger<\/a> and several <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptovest.com\/news\/bitcoin-diamond-warning-out-to-steal-the-real-btc\/\">crypto specialists<\/a> have warned that it might be a scam to steal Bitcoins from the wallet of users.<\/p>\n<p>Through a series of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LedgerHQ\/status\/943915102780223495\">Tweets<\/a>, Ledger has cautioned its followers about fake websites, facilitating Bitcoin holders to claim BCD coins. The BCD developers claim to have a main net up and running since December 21. However, splitting the coin is still not possible.<\/p>\n<p>The people behind the project are not known. Further, a user has to enter sensitive security information for claiming Bitcoin Diamond. A detailed scrutiny of the altcoin was recently presented by a crypto specialist in <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@btcblooddiamond\/bitcoin-diamond-is-a-scam-of-epic-proportions-7d7908c43c22\">Medium.com<\/a>. The article has raised the following concerns:<br \/>\n\u2022 Twitter account was registered only in November 2017. There is no slack. Only a link to slack is available.<br \/>\n\u2022 The Bitcoin Diamond Telegram Group was created only in November 2017 and has no real activity.<br \/>\n\u2022 The website of Bitcoin Diamond was registered only on November 3, anonymously.<br \/>\n\u2022 The article also raises doubt that Chinese exchange EXX.com is probably behind the scam. The exchange is believed to operate from Hong Kong.<br \/>\n\u2022 Developers are only represented by the nicknames <strong>\u201cEvy\u201d<\/strong> and <strong>\u201c007\u201d<\/strong>.<br \/>\n\u2022 There are no source code and wallet support. The word Wallet is spelled as \u201cWALLTETS\u201d. Further, Bitgo is falsely represented as a wallet.<\/p>\n<p>The blog ends with the statement <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIf you have Bitcoin Diamond sell them immediately.
