Washington took a 13-10 lead into halftime before adding 14 unanswered points in the second half.<\/p>\n<h2>Eagles&#8217; Offense Struggles Again<\/h2>\n<p>Philadelphia&#8217;s problems continued as the <strong>team suffered its sixth straight loss<\/strong>, leaving it at the bottom of the NFC East standings.<\/p>\n<p>With Jalen Hurts sidelined through injury, Tanner McKee made his third start of the season. He completed the game with 212 passing yards but failed to throw a touchdown, while the Eagles managed just 268 total yards.<\/p>\n<p>Washington&#8217;s defense recorded five sacks and an interception, limiting Philadelphia to just 199 yards before the Eagles&#8217; final drive.<\/p>\n<p>Saquon Barkley scored the team&#8217;s only touchdown with a three-yard run in the first quarter but struggled to find space for the rest of the game. He finished with just 30 rushing yards on 13 carries, while Philadelphia managed 91 rushing yards overall.<\/p>\n<p>The Eagles also missed an important opportunity in the fourth quarter. Jake Elliott initially converted a field goal that would have reduced Washington&#8217;s advantage to three points, but an illegal formation penalty forced a second attempt. Elliott subsequently missed from 41 yards.<\/p>\n<p>Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni acknowledged the team&#8217;s difficult situation after another defeat.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Nobody feels sorry for us, that&#8217;s for damn sure,&#8221; Sirianni said. He added that the team needed to find solutions to avoid carrying the same problems into its remaining games.<\/p>\n<p>Barkley also recognized the change in how opponents approach Philadelphia, saying: &#8220;We&#8217;re not the big bad Eagles anymore.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Injuries and What&#8217;s Next<\/h2>\n<p>Philadelphia safety Michael Carter suffered an abdominal injury during the game. Washington running back Jeremy McNichols also left the field in the second half with a left foot injury.<\/p>\n<p>The result keeps the Commanders within reach of the top of the NFC East, despite winning just twice in their first seven games.
