Earnings came to 48 cents per share, or 54 cents adjusted for non-recurring costs and asset impairment. The result missed analysts\u2019 expectations, with 14 analysts surveyed by Yahoo Finance forecasting earnings of 68 cents per share.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman and CEO <strong>Patrick Dumont<\/strong> said,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We continued to execute our strategic objectives during the quarter in both Singapore and Macau, while increasing the return of capital to shareholders, including through the repurchase of $950 million of our common stock during the quarter<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Dumont said softer high-end demand in both markets had affected the results, although the company remained focused on premium travel, entertainment and hospitality experiences across Asia.<\/p>\n<h2>Singapore Expansion Remains on Track<\/h2>\n<p>Las Vegas Sands operates <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinabaysands.com\">Marina Bay Sands in Singapore<\/a>, where it is developing an $8 billion standalone luxury expansion known as IR2, adjacent to the existing resort.<\/p>\n<p>The company remains <strong>on track to open the project in early 2031<\/strong>, subject to government approvals. Dumont said Singapore continued to offer long-term growth opportunities for high-value tourism, supported by the company\u2019s investment in hospitality and entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>Consolidated adjusted property EBITDA, a measure of property-level operating performance, fell to $1.1 billion from $1.3 billion in the prior-year quarter.<\/p>\n<h2>Macau Gaming Revenue Shows Growth<\/h2>\n<p>In Macau, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/news\/sands-china-launches-new-performing-arts-program-to-bring-in-more-visitors\/\">Sands China Limited<\/a> recorded a 1.4% increase in net revenue to $1.9 billion. However, net income fell 29.8% to $191 million from $272 million a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Dumont said the company\u2019s <strong>share of Macau\u2019s mass-gaming revenue reached 26.1%<\/strong>, its strongest performance since the fourth quarter of 2023. Gaming activity also increased across several segments year over year, with rolling volume rising 31%, non-rolling drop increasing 11% and electronic table game handle climbing 26%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Renovation work at The Venetian Macao is progressing<\/strong>, with completion expected by Chinese New Year 2028. The plans include premium-focused gaming salons and related events.<\/p>\n<p>Dumont said the company remained confident in Macau\u2019s long-term prospects and <strong>maintained its goal of reaching $700 million in quarterly adjusted property EBITDA<\/strong>, with further growth possible as investments take effect.<\/p>\n<p>Las Vegas Sands also reported a weighted average debt balance of $15.5 billion during the quarter, signaling a decrease from $15.9 billion reported a year earlier. <\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s effective income-tax rate went up to 22.5%, compared with 15.6% in the third quarter of 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summary: Las Vegas Sands\u2019 Q3 revenue fell to $3.2 billion in the third quarter, while net income dropped to $352 million.
