Lawmakers backing the measure argue this is a necessary safeguard to prevent people from betting with borrowed money. While not all operators currently allow credit card deposits, at least some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/us\/legal-us-online-betting-sites\">sportsbooks<\/a> still do, making the restriction meaningful across the market.<\/p>\n<p>Under the proposal, <strong>gamblers would be limited to six deposits per day<\/strong>, although there would be no cap on the amount of each deposit. Sponsors of the bill say research shows frequent depositing is closely linked to problem gambling and higher financial losses.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Matt Ball, one of the bill\u2019s sponsors, said the goal is to introduce friction into the system in order to slow down high-risk behavior.
