At a time of political uncertainty and economic pressure, this event arranged the direction, energy, and a renewed purpose<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Rocha also noted that some tribal representatives couldn\u2019t attend due to cuts in federal funding.<\/p>\n<p>According to IGA Executive Director <strong>Jason Giles<\/strong>, looming concerns about <strong>a possible government shutdown just weeks before the show created real anxiety<\/strong>, especially since federal speakers typically account for a significant portion of the lineup. <\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>We dodged a whole bunch of bullets<\/em>\u201d, Giles said, explaining that <strong>none of the usual 35 to 50 federal speakers could attend<\/strong>, which likely held back even stronger attendance.<\/p>\n<h2>The San Diego Return, a \u201cBreath of Fresh Air\u201d <\/h2>\n<p>Despite that, San Diego proved a draw. \u201c<em>It\u2019s a breath of fresh air going back to San Diego<\/em>\u201d, said <strong>Ed Gallo<\/strong>, Clarion\u2019s director of sales and attendee programs. <\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>(Anaheim) is never happening again<\/em>\u201d, Gallo praised the location, the buzz on the floor, and the strong exhibitor turnout, noting that the Gaslamp Quarter\u2019s hotels and restaurants make San Diego hard to beat.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s event featured nearly 400 exhibitors across 100,000 square feet of trade show floor space, including 101 new exhibitors. <\/p>\n<p>Highlights included the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiangamingtradeshow.com\/digitalplay-summit\">Digital Play Summit<\/a> and the debut of TribalBond, a structured networking platform for tribal casinos and vendors. \u201c<em>Not one person complained<\/em>\u201d, said Gallo. \u201c<em>Everybody was happy with the quality that they were introduced to<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Rocha added that even though key agencies like the National Indian Gaming Commission couldn\u2019t attend, IGA set up Zoom presentations with support from FanDuel and DraftKings. \u201c<em>You gotta keep moving forward<\/em>\u201d, said Gallo.<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead, the goal is to reach 10,000 to 12,000 attendees. \u201c<em>Let\u2019s do this together<\/em>\u201d, Gallo said. <em>\u201cWe\u2019re winning here<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I want it to be a midway, where there\u2019s excitement like a carnival, and not like a tradeshow<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Rocha said, expressing his view that they are \u201c<em>close<\/em>\u201d to that goal. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summary: The 2025 Indian Gaming Tradeshow gathered 7,500 attendees, 10% more than last year\u2019s event in Anaheim.
