When Snyder bought the franchise it was called the <strong>Washington Redskins<\/strong> and remained so for many years until pressure was brought on the NFL and Snyder for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/news\/president-trump-not-happy-that-redskins-drop-name\/\">use of the term \u2018<em>Redskins<\/em>\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Snyder continued to face pressure over multiple improprieties that led to an investigation and put him under pressure that forced him to make the decision to sell the Washington Commanders.<\/p>\n<p>Give the huge asking price for the Commanders; there were not a lot of contenders who could come up with the funding.
