The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/news\/us-court-allows-the-pga-to-add-saudi-backers-to-liv-golf-lawsuit\/\">PGA and the LIV Golf Tour have now dropped all lawsuits<\/a> since the two parties have now merged.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jay Monahan<\/strong>, PGA Tour Commissioner shed more light on these developments when he faced the press and tried to explain the change of stance from the PGA regarding the LIV Golf Tour.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Monahan said <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>They were going down their path, we were going down ours, and after a lot of introspection you realize all this tension in the game is not a good thing.We have a responsibility to our tour and to the game, and we felt like the time was right to have that conversation.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wBYcch-hpjk?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Many Players Call The PGA Two Faced<\/h2>\n<p>Given the tough stance that the PGA took on its players to warn them against joining the LIV Golf Tour and now the U-turn to merge with the LIV Golf Tour, players have been left disappointed and upset.<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Nothing like finding out through Twitter that we\u2019re merging with a tour that we said we\u2019d never do that with.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Mackenzie Hughes (@MacHughesGolf) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MacHughesGolf\/status\/1666094467903012866?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 6, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Many fans took to social media to call the PGA and its board two-faced and said that they would find it difficult to trust anything the PGA said going forward. Monahan recognized the backlash and tried to offer an explanation to appease upset fans and players.<\/p>\n<p>Monahan said he expected people to call him a hypocrite but said his comments were always
