In Nevada, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/reviews\/william-hill\">William Hill<\/a> and Caesars Sportsbooks experienced an issue and an outage resulted in fans being unable to wager during the Super Bowl and for days after. The online services just now returned online last night. <\/p>\n<h2>Bonus Bets for Players Affected by the Outage <\/h2>\n<p>The shutdown could not have come at a worse time, as the Super Bowl is one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/betting-opportunity\">biggest betting events of the year<\/a>. With the crash, players were unable to wager online as well as in-person at retail sportsbooks. The retail facilities were back online earlier this week but online services just came back yesterday. <\/p>\n<p>Late last night, customers of William Hill and Caesars received an email about the shutdown. <strong>Accounts were accessible after a 72 hour period and two $50 bonus bets are on offer to those who were inconvenienced<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>The first bet was already placed in players accounts and must be used by February 28. The second will be added on March 1. This bet must be used by March 15. The company apologized for the issue. <\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/X6woNnLQvHw?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Investigating the Shutdown  <\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/worldwide-gambling-licensing-authorities\/nevada-gaming-commission\"><strong>Nevada Gaming Control Board<\/strong><\/a> is investigating the matter to try and determine why the brand shut down. The Enforcement and Technology Division are on the case. William Hill says that the platform was subject to an unforeseen technical issue during the second quarter of the Super Bowl. The app and retail outlets were affected by the problem. <\/p>\n<p>Players who tried to log in to the William Hill app saw a message on the landing page that said the platform was undergoing a nightly maintenance period and account access was disabled temporarily. It is unclear as to what the technical issue was exactly, though we expect officials from the company or the Gaming Control Board to provide insight in the future. <\/p>\n<p>According to regulators, the company handled $153 million wagers on the game. This is a nice figure, but it would have been more if the brand had not been shut down online and in-person. The number <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legitgambling.com\/news\/nevada-sportsbooks-fall-short-of-2022-super-bowl-bets-total\/\">falls short of the previous year\u2019s figures<\/a> and is less than other state\u2019s totals. <\/p>\n<p>The provider\u2019s app has crashed in the past, so this is not a new occurrence. In 2021, the apps for William Hill and Caesars shut down right before the NFL season openers.
