Therefore, POM\u2019s petition to suppress evidence was granted. <\/p>\n<p>The court also deemed as legal the skill games devices at issue. The judge ruled that the Commonwealth has failed to establish that the devices are games of chance. <\/p>\n<p>The Commonwealth was ordered to return the seized devices and ticket redemption terminals (TRTs) to POM, and the company shall retain the monies previously returned to them under a prior court order. <\/p>\n<p>Four of POM\u2019s skill devices in Pennsylvania were seized during raids carried out by the Monroe County District Attorney\u2019s Office in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to the court order, POM spokesman <strong>Mike Barley<\/strong> said the ruling is \u201c<em>another tremendous victory<\/em>\u201d for the Pennsylvania skill games powered by POM, as well as the small businesses, clubs, and veteran groups benefitting from the operation of such devices.
