A lot of NBA fans have also taken to social media to express their disappointment with the NBA letting Sarver get off so easily.<\/p>\n<p>There was also pressure from inside the Phoenix Suns as vice chairman <strong>Jahm Najafi<\/strong> called for Sarver to give up his position as team owner. It also appears that NBA Commissioner <strong>Adam Silver<\/strong> was in favour of Sarver removing himself as team owner.<\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/c0BUdx9d_uA?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Sarver Decides To Sell Suns and Mercury Franchise\u2019s<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/statement-from-robert-sarver-301629996.html\">Sarver released a statement this week<\/a> and confirmed that \u2018<em>cancel culture<\/em>\u2019 had put enormous pressure on him and were not willing to give him an opportunity to make amends and rebuild the Suns and Mercury franchises. Sarver said that based on today\u2019s unforgiving climate, he realized that any good he could do for both franchises in the future was no longer possible due to the way he handled things in the past.<\/p>\n<p>Sarver confirmed that he has decided to sell the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury franchises and was now seeking buyers. Sarver said he decided to remove himself from the equation so that the players, fans and fellow NBA and WNBA owners could continue to enjoy the game without any further controversy. <\/p>\n<p><strong>CJ McCollum<\/strong>, president for the NBA\u2019s Players Association said he <a href=\"https:\/\/nbpa.com\/news\/statement-from-nbpa-president-cj-mccollum\">appreciated
