\"QuintonThe ICC T20 World Cup is currently underway<\/a> in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the games have been really good so far, with quite a few upsets. Speaking of upsets, Cricket South Africa<\/strong> (CSA) have been upset with the media coverage they have been getting after former captain Quinton de Kock<\/a> (far left<\/em>) refused to take a knee along with the rest of the squad. CSA have made it mandatory for all their players to take a knee before going on to the field.<\/p>\n

South Africa have so far played two games, lost won and won one. Quinny is one of their most dangerous players in the T20 format as he gets quick runs at the top of the order and also keeps wickets for South Africa. <\/p>\n

de Kock refused to take the knee against the West Indies earlier this week and decided to make himself unavailable for the game. de Kock did not give any explanation as to why he did not want to take the knee and put it down to personal reasons when the incident first happened. <\/p>\n

South Africa<\/a> along with a number of other teams at the ICC World Cup have resorted to taking the knee to show support for the black lives matter campaign, which focuses only on the lives of black people never mind all the other cultures\/races who get discriminated everyday<\/strong>. de Kock has since apologised for the incident but has held on to his belief that an individual shouldn’t be forced to conform as it is a meaningless gesture otherwise. <\/p>\n
