The final grand slam of the year is going to be missing some of the biggest names on the tennis circuit as Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal<\/strong> have all confirmed they will not play.<\/p>\n

Serena Williams has won the U.S. Grand Slam trophy on six occasions<\/em> while her elder sister Venus Williams has won two U.S opens<\/em>. <\/p>\n

Serena who also decided to not compete in Japan<\/a> took to Instagram to inform her fans that she decided to pull out of the U.S. Open based on the advice she received from her doctors and medical professionals.<\/p>\n
