Betfred USA closed a deal that gave them charge of sports betting operations at the Mohegan Sun Casino inside Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, an off-Strip resort scheduled to open before 2021. <\/p>\n<p>Betfred USA currently operates in Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Iowa, and has long sought to enter the Nevada market since the company\u2019s U.S launch in 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bryan Bennett<\/strong>, COO for Betfred USA said they have been talking with Mohegan Gaming since early 2020 to become their sportsbook operator in Las Vegas. <a href=\"https:\/\/mohegangaming.com\">Mohegan Gaming<\/a> is the casino arm of the Mohegan Indian Tribe from Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p>Bennett said that Nevada is an amazing opportunity for Betfred to introduce its services to a new market hungry for more options. Bennett also noted that this location likely will not be the last Betfred location in Nevada, as their application for a Nevada gaming license is currently in the works.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Betfred Sports<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ubC-NTpyXOQ?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mohegan Gaming\u2019s tie-up with Virgin Hotels happened last fall, in a deal that made them the operator of the Miami-based Virgin Hotels\u2019 60,000 square foot casino in Las Vegas. This is the first time a tribal gambling company has managed a casino in Las Vegas. Virgin Hotels\u2019 property was formerly the Hard Rock Las Vegas. It was closed in February 2020 for renovations that are expected to conclude by 2021. <\/p>\n<h2>Betfred\u2019s U.S To Focus On Las Vegas Market<\/h2>\n<p>Bennett said that the relatively smaller size of the casino will not prevent Betfred from trying to make their sportsbook the best in the entire state. Betfred plans to include a number of innovations in their new venture, such as a mobile gaming platform, a video wall, luxury seating, self-serve kiosks, and over-the-counter wagering.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aviram Alroy<\/strong>, Vice President of Interactive for Mohegan Gaming, expressed his full confidence in Betfred\u2019s ability to manage their sportsbook. Mohegan Gaming will manage the rest of the casino operations.<\/p>\n<p>Betfred\u2019s US presence is set to expand in the coming months, as they are about to launch their Pennsylvania operations.
